Grown around the desert towns of Balkh, Mazar-i-Sharif and Sheberghan in the far north of Afghanistan, close to the modern borders of Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. This Mazar-i-Sharif strain produces the legendary hashish known as “Shirak-i-Mazar” and “Milk of Mazar”. The people of these regions are a patchwork of Turkic, Tajik, Afghan and Pashtun tribes, and the history of Mazar-i-Sharif strains is likely to be equally complex. In fertile and well-irrigated soils these vigorous giants are capable of reaching 4 metres in height or more, and will produce a similarly immense yield of intensely resinous flowers. Traditionally harvested in the first half of December with the onset of the brutal Central Asian winter, Mazar-i-Sharif plants will enjoy cold conditions, including snow, and will turn a deep blood red in low temperatures. Growers favour leaving harvest as late as possible, sometimes into early January. Sieved “Milk of Mazar” garda is very resinous and so can be hand-pressed to make charas; it has a distinctively pungent, sweet aroma and a dreamily mellow high. Over-indulgence produces a mind-warping, immobilising and narcotic effect.

I keep coming back to this.
It isn’t the same as other Mazar I’ve tried but the bag for the buck at 250/O.
The taste is not quite right but the effects are respectable.

I’d like to retract my previous rating. I was drinking a particularly oaky scotch when I wrote the first review, and I realize now that it overpowered the taste of the hash. I still feel like it’s maybe not quite as flavourful as the previous batch from kp, but it tastes good nonetheless and the high is definitely a creeper.

I buy mazar and other afghan imports for that amazing woodsy, piney taste and smell. This batch has ZERO of either. I am very, very disappointed that I bought a half ounce of this without trying a gram first. The high is ok. Not sure what happened here but I’m sad.

Trying to find the hash I used to smoke in the 80’s. This one is very close but not quite the kick that I remember. Excellent value and will definitely buy again. The sweet dream freebie was a nice touch as well.

A solid 4/5. Very sticky, soft tar which smells like fresh off the boat Afghan hash. The taste is earthy and sweet. The lift is great, but will grind all productivity to a halt. Writes off the day from there.
I order 1g every time to spruce up a bowl after a tough day.

I had to go further down the rabbit hole, so I purchased a q of both MS and E, and smoked each exclusively for a week.
Admittedly I doubted my original conclusions after reading some other reviews.
However, after substantial R&D, I stand by my original findings: both are very good, neither is exactly the joy from the 80’s, I give an edge to the Elephant.

So I present a side by side comparison between Mazar Sharif, and the Elephant.
I preface this by saying I am a hash ho looking for the black I loved during the 80’s. I scour moms hunting for my prize.
Texture: MS is too sticky but who cares.
E is the closest to what I’m looking for. Crumbles beautifly.
Smell & Taste: both are very nice but not perfect. I give a slight edge to E.
Smoke: both smoke well, in a dube, with a slight advantage going to E
Potency: I feel MS is slightly stronger. Both are more than respectable, but neither match that of my glory days.
Price Point is exceptional on this site. Kudos for not being greedy.
Overall both are very good and I recommend buying some of each and figuring out your preference.

Mazar Sharif Afghani Hash ..Cher un peu $$ mais excellent, smooth au goût et lourd dans l’effet mais dans le bon sens puissant relaxant parfait avec musique le soir ou un bon film bon au goût mais sans plus, très résineux et collant assez qui faut prendre soin de bien le rouler en joint pour que ça fume bien ,aussi je dois le tenir au frais y fait 28°c ici loll…
En gros très bon hash je recommande je mets 4 étoiles car y a toujours place a mieux .
Aussi.. P.S. à kanapost vous devriez mettre le Mazar Sharif Afghani Hash dans un papier ciré ou parchemin car il colle sur les sacs en plastique . Merci kanapost excellent produit.

A true 5/5 as far as taste, high, and value are concerned. Head and shoulders above the Mercedes hash, but is more expensive. The smoke and high are more delicate compared to bubble hash.
I’d keep a hunk of this lying around in the toolbox.

This hash is so sticky, it’s like used bubblegum. The taste and high are just awesome!! I pull off tiny pieces and roll them out, as I find it just gets gooey if I try to heat and flake it. Love it.

I thought it was better than the Lebanese but not amazing.
It sat in my kit for weeks without use. Then yesterday I rolled a big fat one with some cheap herb and Holy smokes I was blown away. I just had another one today and as I right this my whole body is tingling and calm, if I were to close my eyes for a few seconds I would surely have a restful nap. Hands down the best hash. Very sticky/moist so if you prefer a crumbley hash for joints or whatever this isn’t it.. Really nice taste and mind bending high. I put small peices on my bowls over weed or under keif. I was so baked from this shit. It kind of tastes like finger hash. 5/5
